Everton winger Aiden McGeady scored twice to help the Republic of Ireland open their UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with a 2-1 victory over Georgia in Tbilisi.
McGeady slotted into the corner after 23 minutes and then after Georgia had equalised through Tornike Okriashvili, he claimed the winner in the 90th minute with a superb curling shot from the edge of the area. Everton players also assisted both goals, with James McCarthy setting up the first and Seamus Coleman playing in McGeady for the second.
