Mark Hughes was pleased with his Stoke City side as soon as they recorded their first home win of the Barclays Premier League campaign by edging Newcastle United 1-0 at the Britannia Stadium.
In an open match the Potters created several chances to add for their opening goal, with Marko Arnautovic coming closest when hitting the post in the 2nd half, but finally Peter Crouch’s 15th-minute header shown the difference involving both sides.
