Wayne Rooney has apologised to his Manchester United teammates following his sending off at home to West Ham on Saturday.
The skipper was blown off just prior to the hour mark in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford for a reckless lunge on Stewart Downing and referee Lee Mason showed him the red card.
