Frank Lampard hailed Manchester City’s approach as “totally hammer on” as soon as they moved up to second place in the Premier League using a 3-0 triumph at Southampton.
Southampton had just surrendered one goal at St Mary’s this season coming into the match, but their defence was broken three times by City as Yaya Toure, Lampard and Gael Clichy netted second half strikes.
