After another hectic night of Europa League activity for Everton on Thursday evening they embarked in the flight back from Germany in the wee hours of Friday morning. Such is the grim world of soccer they now make the visit to Tottenham for Super Sunday.
Everton have won only one of their four Premier League matches played instantly following a Europa League match this year. Competitions Spurs have at least been lucky enough using the fixture list they follow up European obligations having a home game for the seventh consecutive event. Not that it’s helping much. They’ve lost four of the last six.
