Club competitions in healthy state - UEFA.com

Monday’s European club competition draw ceremonies in Nyon have given UEFA the opportunity to highlight the blue-riband quality of the UEFA Champions League, the flourishing appeal of the UEFA Europa League, and the merits of the fledgling UEFA Youth League.

UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino compered all three draws at the House of European Football. Firstly, he reflected upon an entertaining autumn in the UEFA Champions League, culminating in a memorable last set of matches that kept everyone on the edge of their seats up to the final whistles.

Harley buoyed English youth advancement at U15 International Tournament

After directing his side to the final of the Premier League Under-15 International Tournament 2014 Chelsea trainer Jon Harley says the improvement being produced by English youth academies is to the up curve. & quot;There is a huge development in no more than one year," he told premierleague.com.

Chelsea came top of a group featuring Ajax, Derby County and Bolton Wanderers before beating Hertha Berlin in the semifinal, and they gave as good as they got in the final, that was finely poised at 1-1 in extra time, just for Benfica to create a victor in the dying seconds.
